How does a credit union work in your hosptial on auto loans?

Basically the same as any other financing. You still have to apply for the loan, however, their acceptance criteria may be more favorable and their interest rates will be more favorable. Not bad in exchange for a minimal membership fee to join.

I don't know about auto loans, but when we were buying our house, our realtor told us that credit unions charge more fees when applying for the loan. I don't know all the in's and out's of it, but I just wanted to throw that out there. :)
