What do you nurses do to care for yourself? What do you do to make sure you stay healthy, relaxed, minimal stress etc?
Nurses are known for not caring enough for themselves, leading to burn out. Just looking for ideas on what you do to stay sane (as a relative term of course)
Every three months I go on a mini-vacay.
I exercise, eat well, sleep well, don't internalize things and when situations cause me stress, I work through it.
I have a great family, and I good support. I also love going out, having fun, church, volunteering..generally having a happy life outside of work.
I strive for balance.
That's the key.

Prayer, Mani/Pedi's, facials, go to gym 5 days per week, try to eat healthy and laughter!!!! I leave my job at the door!!!
