Moving to the International forums, where you might be better served. Good luck to you!

First, I want to refer you to the stickies above the Int'l forum and suggest you thoroughly read them.

Second thing to do is to personally go to the Virginia Board of Nursing website (http://www.dhp.virginia.gov/nursing/) and download and read the instructions there.

Last time I check they still require the CGFNS Exam. Please double check once you visit their website.

The OP needs info for West Virginia, not Virginia.

These are 2 separate states. :)

Oops, sorry. Missed that. :p

West Virginia it is:

*Kindly double check on the req't. I believe they also require passing the CGNFS exam/certification as well.

P.S. If you are not already a GC holder or will be soon via another route other than employment-based petition, you cannot be petitioned for being an LPN. Does not matter if you are able to take and be licensed as a US PN.

There are so many that get licensed but could not get permission to work per immigration and there were even some that got deported because they were caught working w/o a valid legal work/immigration status. Being licensed is not enough.

Just want to let you know that. And it's always the Aunt that says the wrong things. Sorry to be blunt but this has always been the case.

They already have a green card.

The $350 may be the $200 fee to sit NCLEX plus the $150 international fee to sit outside the US?

Just an idea - it cost me that to sit the exam outside the US last year.
