Secondly, if you are not among the Christians in my statement, I was not talking about you

You said "Christians", not some Christians, not a few Christians, but the word by itself is an implied "All".  If you don't know grammar, that is your issue, not mine.

Being a bigot and being proud of it is fine. But your defensiveness says otherwise, you're not proud of it. My terms stand. Have a nice day

I aced English in my home country before I was naturalized in the US. My grammar is obviously not as good as a native speaker, but I know what I am saying.

Wow, you know my mind too well. I did not know that a Christian nurse is also a psychic.
Feel free to keep your term. I am a bigot against Christian bigots, unlike some touchy Christian nurse ?

Well, I'm not a bigot against anyone or anything, except foolishness. It has nothing to do with my religion, everything to do with my upbringing

ETA: I mentioned that I generally don't advertise my religious beliefs. You then reply to me using bold "Christian nurse". This is considered rude. Just letting you know, since you stated English isn't your native language. I'm just a nurse. Religious beliefs have nothing to with that, either.

I have no reason to be polite to the person who acts like they are my psychologist. It is specifically toward that person, not all Christians, although Christians love to play that role all the time ("You don't like Christianity because you are angry at god")

Hence, I make that bold expression to that person.

When a Christian does not play the golden rule they are so proud of, I will not reciprocate, either.

Christians can never help preaching. Respecting people's boundary is the last thing they are are able to do after all. Hospital is a great place for Christian nurses to recruit souls.

Not only am I not a Christian but in fact an atheist, however your generalization of Christians here is off-putting.  Your general statement makes you no better than these “preaching Christians” you are complaining about.

I didn't act as your judge or psychologist. I simply suggested that you stop being judgemental of those that you don't know. You are no better than those that you accuse. If you act unkindly to others, you will generally get the same treatment back.

I do think that you're hysterical continuing on with your "Christian" bit, like you're hurting my, or anyone else's, feelings. Like a child stomping their foot, trying to get attention or a reaction. I'm done replying to you, there are real life issues to deal with in my area. Goodnight...

I have a reason to say that. I don't expect you to understand. That is fine. You are not a minority anyway. It is not your fault.

Sure. If you think you can throw words out there and suppose that you are being kind, you are entitled to that. I do not have to be obligated to your sentiment when you said "Being a bigot and being proud of it is fine. But your defensiveness says otherwise, you're not proud of it."

Who are you to make a judgment about how I feel about myself. That is an act of a psychologist. I do not consent to it. Hence, I responded the way I did. Your defensiveness is not my problem.

I did not ask you to reply to me. I did not want to respond to you, either. However, when you play psychologist to me, you will get my unkind words.

Like I said, when you don't follow golden rule that your religion preaches, I will not play it back to you, either. It is called fair game.

I'm all for people believing what they want to believe to get through the day. I try really hard not to be antirelgion but sometimes I can't help it. I have had such consistently negative experiences with religion that it is hard not to hateful. It's my issue, and I do try to be more tolerant. However, I find especially with Christianity, that tolerance is not reciprocated. If I say anything against a religion I get called out on it, but some Christians can say pretty much anything they want and if criticized then they're being "persecuted".

That said, Hoozier, you do not deserve the hostility you received. I can understand why someone could have a hatred towards Christianity though.

I'm irreligious, but I think you did generalize all Christians. There is no need to go fighting trees and lose the forest in attempt to be right rather than factual. Tone and delivery are two variables to also consider when engaging in nuanced discourse. Nonetheless, what is your contention? Moreover, what does being a minority (irksome word to me as it's too ambiguous) have to do with anything?
