Houston Residencies Summer 2019!!

Can you believe applications have started opening up? Anyway, just an early start for everyone to discuss.

I'm planning on applying to Harris Health, Memorial Hermann, Methodist, & TCH, and I will be applying to multiple locations for each. I'm trying to decide if I should branch out and apply at some places out of state or not since I want a very demanding specialty, but I'm not necessarily ready to uproot my family just for my residency. I'm open to suggestions or thoughts from others who have been through this part of the experience already.

I’m not sure. I’ve read on some forums that they send rejection letters but I don’t know if it’s changed. You still have time though, what unit did you interview with?

My friend wants to know if anyone received an email or call that applied to the OR for MH Medical Center?

The OR ? they said they would call today but I haven’t heard anything

My friend received an offer on Wednesday morning for that unit, but I'm not sure about rejection calls yet.

Just verbal. They called her and offered it to her and said they'd be back in touch with her next week regarding pay and benefits
