Hiiiii everyone! I know this is a little early, but I am graduating in May 2025 and will be applying to Houston Nurse Residencies. I didn't see a forum for this 🙂 since applications haven't started in the next few weeks, so I just wanted to make this for more info! Does anyone know all the application opening dates for TCH, MH, Methodist, etc.? And any advice/insights/interview tips related to nursing residencies?

She said it's basically a big banquet hall that they rent and you meet and interview with the unit managers, educators, staff and/or whoever is present at the time of your interview. It's kind of like a job fair type of set up.

OMG I didn't know they have a job fair. I thought they only open online job application? Will they have a job fair in memorial city campus?

It's like a job fair except the hospital invites you to it. But it depends on the campus. I know last semester I got an invite from Baytown but I was at school and couldn't go. Also, if you're not in town and you get invited to one make sure you let them know as soon as possible to set up a virtual interview.

I haven't but I did get the email saying they're still working on processing applications so that may be the reason.

I think they took the job posting off, which is crazy because it's supposed to be up until the 14th

I know for sure SW had L&D as an option because I applied for it, but I'm not sure about the other locations

Has anyone heard anything or knows anyone who has heard anything from Methodist especially the TMC or any other location?

My friend got a call from them yesterday and they said the only units they had available were ICU, OR and medsurg iirc. The person that called her also said that TMC location was the only one doing a residency but I'm not sure if that's true
