Hi everyone! I graduated with my BSN and I'm applying for residencies in the Houston area. Best of luck!

Today was the last day for interviews so I'm assuming they'll know for sure by early next week so they can send out more info and invites for 2nd choice campus based on what's available

1. Tell us about youself?
2. Why Memmorial Hermann?
3. When was a time you had a conflict and how was it resolved?
Then they explained the OR section of the residency program to me and asked if I had any questions.
Just recieved an offer from the unit!

MH recently emailed you about getting an update about available units after the first match week? Or that was from their initial email after you submitted the application? Just wondering cause I'm also holding on hope for my second choice unit but not sure how likely it'll be since it's a pretty competitive unit.

No I haven't heard back either 😭 I remember the hiring manager had mentioned people should be hearing back the following week for a 2nd interview with peers from the unit. Did you have your prescreen with the hiring manager as well?

My pre screening was virtual, since I'm an out of state applicant. I had the AM and PM charge nurses of the unit and the person in charge of the residency program for my pre screening. They told me they interviewed alot of people and that it'll take them a while to go through and select which people for the 2nd round.

I was out of state as well and tried to contact the recruiter and the hospital several times but no one responded so I had no choice to fly out from Ohio to Texas. If I don't get it I will be so disappointed. That flight wasn't cheap.
