Has anyone heard from the TMC regarding women's services? Also, for anyone who heard back from any location/unit, did you have a reference? Asking bc I remember someone from a previous cohort saying TCH tends to reach out to people with references first.

Me ? got told I did "great" and that I'd "fit right in" then got rejected. And the thing is I applied to mother/baby and I did my capstone in mb ? and I had a letter of recommendation from my preceptor

Getting a job offer in mother/baby is pretty difficult ? I've been trying to get a job in MB and haven't gotten an offer. I've been applying since January. This was my 3rd cohort trying ?

I also graduated in May and this is also my 3rd time applying. It's way too hard to get a job ?

I've applied to a previous cohort before, if you haven't heard back yet from MH, don't be discouraged! They sent invites throughout the entire week. In the last cohort, my friend didn't hear back until Friday.

Thanks! Yes, I got an email saying I got selected to interview. Then I got a second email with a link to schedule it next Tuesday.

I just heard from Children's Memorial Hermann, specifically the mother/baby unit.

So I was offered a switch to CVIMCU. Same acuity but more specific to cardiac rather than a general floor. I do know some people in that unit and they love it, but EKGs scare me LOL. I did get a call back from Angels of Care and I thought about it. But for reasons outside of my control, I couldn't take the offer. Trying to switch into women's wouldn't have been easy. I'd essentially be in limbo and jobless until I could get an offer in women's, which time-line wise could be months. I can't afford to do that. Add in that I wasn't given much time to decide so I kind of panicked and chose the "easy" route LOL. I haven't gotten a job offer elsewhere so I'm sticking it out on my unit until I can find another job. The plus side though is that I do actually have a good support system within the unit. My manager and preceptor have been very helpful and are very encouraging about me asking questions and for help. I sincerely appreciate everyone's kind words. It really helped me feel better because I had no one outside of my job to talk to besides my boyfriend. I get along well with the other new grads on my unit and the overall cohort, but I'm not super close to any of them and they all seem to be enjoying their jobs. I didn't want to dampen anyone's mood. Thank you all so much ??
