Houston Nurse Residency Summer 2020

Updated:   Published

Starting a thread about Houston Nurse Residency programs that open this month/next to start in June/July!

Has anyone heard back from the pre-screening interview with Houston Methodist Sugar Land Mother/Baby unit?

Has anyone received an offer from MH PICU or know when they will be making offers?

I havent seen anyone on here talk about MH PICU. But I'm in the same boat for L&D. I havent heard anything. But no news is better than bad news I guess

Hi everyone! Does anyone know if you accept an offer with a facility that has a 2 year contract, does that bind you to the contract just yet? Or up until what point are you able to withdraw your acceptance without breaking that contract? I’ve just been confused because I understand many have these 2 year agreements.

It's not legal until you sign the contract. So you can accept but back out if you haven't signed.

Had anyone heard from MH Katy MedSurg???

While nothing is set in stone until you sign a contract, it is fairly unprofessional to back out of a job offer if you have accepted the offer and it is highly advised against.

I'm not advising to do it LOL. I'm just saying you're not bound when you say yes to a verbal offer.

Will it be considered unprofessional to say that you’ll think about it before you say yes or no?

Not at all. I first asked if there was a time I had to give her an answer for the offer or if I had to answer right away. I think it's best to talk to your recruiter about it and see when you have to give her an answer.

Has anyone else who was confirmed for a Women’s Services interview at HCA’s initial hiring event still not heard back about scheduling a virtual interview? I’m sure there’s nothing to worry about but....I still worry anyway ?

Hey, Do you know what the span of time is from acceptance till them making you sign?
