Anyone on here who got an interview with St Luke's an ADN? I am interviewing on the 12th and I'm an ADN currently in a BSN bridge program. I was wondering what my chances are. Also, does anyone know how many people they hire from the interview pool?

I'm the same status minus getting an interview LOL but its really good to hear that they take ADNs, I know they say they do but its nice to actually hear of one of us getting a chance. Best of luck!!

Has anyone who applied to UTMB's nurse residency heard back from a recruiter?

No I haven’t heard anything!

I attend UTMB and my cohort heard from nurses there that they hired people who graduated from their May cohort who did not have a job yet! Those of us who finish within the 2 weeks haven't heard anything yet. The hiring freeze might be done September 1st from what we've heard in clinicals but not sure.

There are no more interview slots left to sign up for St Lukes. They’re all full! I’m not sure if that means they’re done sending invite or if they will add more. Just wanted to let y’all know!

They did add a question at the end of the sign up where it said "I attest I will have a BSN by December 2020" (Which I won't, not until April). So I said no to that. Hoping that's not a deal breaker.

Anyone know how to prepare for St. Luke’s interview coming up on the 12th? Also, how are we suppose to prepare for unit specific questions if we have no idea what units were being interviewed for?

Hello! I’m currently in the residency now. I’m not sure how they’re going to do things because of covid but when we did it we did like 7/8 min interviews with 6 people from different floors. I was interested in critical care but I don’t remember if I talked to anyone in critical care. But as far as the questions they were a lot of behavioral situational and more personality type questions. Like “what would you do if.... “ I also think I got a prioritization question too. Sorry I can’t help much it was so long ago ?

Thank you! We were told it would be a 20 minute interview with a panel of 4-6 people. Do you have any idea how many people they actually hire from the ones being interviewed? I chose critical care as well and I'm being interviewed by a critical care team according to the email I got. How do you like the residency so far? Any tips, suggestions?

I’m not too sure on the numbers but there are about 25 people in the current cohort. From what I’ve seen I think the hospital is great and they’re really doing well with accommodating the residency during these crazy times.
For the interview I would just say to be yourself as everyone always says and make sure to look up their values because they’re huge on those and how those values align with how you want to practice nursing. I tried as much as possible to hint at their values/mission while I was answering their questions without blatantly saying it all the time. Practice and believe in yourself and be confident as well! You’ll kill it ?
