Starting a thread about Houston Nurse Residency programs that open this month/next to start in June/July!

Specializes in ICU.

For those who interviewed with HCA, would you mind sharing the location and unit? I interviewed with Conroe NICU and Clear Lake NICU and ICU. I just want to know if anyone that had the same interviews as I did has heard back yet. The anxiety is REAL!

I interviewed with The Woman’s Hospital Antepartum and Conroe L&D. Haven’t heard about either.

Also interviewed for the Conroe location, but for med surg & ICU step down. During it she said I would hear back in “a couple of days”.. haven’t heard anything. I’m just praying we hear something before July because I already had to cancel things over this delay.

Yeah, after my Conroe NICU interview the manager said "I'm going to reach out to HR and find out what the next steps are" and she also said it was going to take a while because of COVID-19. I wish I would've asked if that meant I got the job, but I was too nervous. I haven't heard anything either and from reading the posts on here it seems no one else has either, so I'm wondering who those people are that they have already sent out offers to...Also, I did ask the recruiter about start dates and she said they are still set to start in July and August. We'll see what happens!

This is nerve racking, especially for those of us out of town and our leases ending ...

Thanks for that info! From the vibes I was getting it seems like they really needed people at that location, but I don’t want to jinx anything of course. If they’re planning on starting late July/early august then they HAVE to let people know within the next week at least. Especially for people out of state. This is too short of a notice, I understand Covid & everything but they had since March to prepare for this.

Off topic but are you out of state? Did you register NCLEX for Texas? I’m taking mine in Ohio (Where I reside) & hoping they’ll allow temporary licensure by the time of start date. Also agree! My lease is ending too & this short notice is not doing any justice.

I’m in the same boat! My lease is ending soon and I’m coming from out of town. I interviewed at the Southeast location for nursery.

I interviewed at the northeast location for HCA
