Starting a thread about Houston Nurse Residency programs that open this month/next to start in June/July!

Haven’t either but hoping by tomorrow since it’s right before the weekend. After that I’m just gonna stop checking & let it come naturally on it’s own LOL

Has anyone heard an update about the Houston Methodist TMC units that were placed on hold in early April?

I emailed my recruiter from Houston Methodist TMC and she basically said that the program was on hold indefinitely and encouraged me to reapply for the fall program and that there would be a way that they could identify “those who were considered for the Summer program”. However, only the Willowbrook location is participating in the residency program for Methodist for the fall. So basically if you want methodist you’d have to wait for the Spring, which is disheartening.

I have not heard anything from HCA, either. Any word? I’m starting to be concerned that they may cancel their program too if no one has heard back....

Memorial hermann said they would be emailing about interviews for the fall program starting today but it may be until June 21st before you hear if you got one.

I also re-applied to Memorial Hermann for their fall residency after not getting selected for their Summer residency. I also noticed Houston Methodist fall residency is accepting apps. Are their any other fall residencies I can apply to right now? Still waiting to hear from HCA after my interview like you all...

what makes you think that HCA would cancel their Summer residency?

Got an email from HCA. They’re working on offers. It’s going to take them awhile like another 2 weeks. Some people might receive offers sooner, just depends

I mean that doesn't indicate it will be cancelled. We literally just had interviews with them.

I was just thinking because I didn’t know of anyone that had been contacted by them with an offer and they originally said that they would by Monday so I was just wondering if no one had heard because they might have been considering cancelling their residency. BUT they emailed us today with an explanation so my thought process was wrong.

Also got the email. Kinda sucks how the interview got pushed back, now we have to wait an additional week before we hear anything.

It does suck a lot, I thought they would have all this stuff figured out since they pushed back interviews but I guess not?
