Houston Nurse Residency Spring 2021

Hello! I created this thread for those graduating in December who are applying to nurse residency programs in Houston for the Spring 2021 start date. Good luck everyone!!

Anyone here still waiting on Memorial Hermann Greater Heights? I checked the status and it still says "Application received" I assumed they already did all their interviews right? I just checked out of curiosity because I haven't heard anything from them.

Greater Heights is my second choice too and my status says the same thing. ? I have not heard anything. 
I had emailed the  MH NRP address and they just told me that they do not have information on individual locations as far as if they have filled their spots and that they are each going on their own timeline. I couldn’t find the email for the NRP coordinator for Greater Heights to ask about it either. 
What unit did you choose? I chose the NICU.

I think if you don’t get a declination letter the positions may still be open but I am not for sure.

I also chose the NICU! But okay I guess we aren't out of the running yet!

This is what they said to me 

“We are responding to your inquiry about your Nurse Residency Program application!

 

If you were not selected to interview for Virtual Match Day, or you interviewed for Virtual Match Day and were not selected, you will immediately begin to be considered for your second choice campus, if they have available positions.

 

You also may be considered for a campus based on your first and/or second choice unit, if that campus still needs to fill a seat in that unit.

 

We do not have a timeline of when you could be contacted, due to it being based off different campus timelines.  We may need to fill seats that a candidate was hired but did not pass their NCLEX”

Yeah that’s the generic email they send to anyone who asks. I got the same thing.

The last part makes it seem as though we're on a waiting list. Oh well I won't get my hopes up. I figure with the NICU they aren't suffering from a lack of applicants.
