Hello! I created this thread for those graduating in December who are applying to nurse residency programs in Houston for the Spring 2021 start date. Good luck everyone!!

Finally got the email to interview for MH, although it is not any of the units I picked. But still so glad! Signed up for next Tue. 
For those who have yet to hear, there’s still two days left to hear back, so don’t lose hope ?

Amazing, congrats! What unit did you apply for vs what they gave you for an interview?

Thank you. I applied for CVICU and will be interviewing with Heart Failure IMU/ICU. So I guess pretty similar. ?

It seems like most people on this thread applied to any or all of these hospitals:

  • Harris Health (Lyndon B or Ben Taub)
  • Houston Methodist
  • Memorial Hermann
  • CHI St Luke's
  • If anyone who applied to all or any of these hospitals knows much about them and why they would consider them for their first choice please let us know. I'm new to Houston and although I've researched about each of these hospitals on Glassdoor and other such sites I know very little about their actual work culture, so if you had clinical in any of these hospitals, I would love to hear about your experience.
