Houston Nurse Residency Fall 2024

Hi! I'm graduating this August and plan on applying to positions in Houston in women's health and pediatrics. I wanted to create a thread so everyone can stay up to date on applications/interviews for the October 2024 Cohorts. Good luck!

Also, I'm sure you know this but just in case you don't! You don't have to apply to a residency. I know that UT Houston has a few RN I positions open that don't require any experience and you can be a new grad and apply. Some hospitals will automatically have you be a part of the residency program if you accept one of these positions if you have less than a year of experience.

Update for Harris Health: I was rejected for all the residency positions in the hospital setting but they sent me an email this morning (7/20) to schedule an interview for a Correctional Health position. Not my cup of tea but I'll take what I can get LOL. Any one else interviewing for this position as well?

How did you know you were rejected? I have not heard anything back from them 😭

I emailed them for an update and they said the only positions left are for Correctional Health so they probably already filled the hospital ones
