Hi! I'm graduating this August and plan on applying to positions in Houston in women's health and pediatrics. I wanted to create a thread so everyone can stay up to date on applications/interviews for the October 2024 Cohorts. Good luck!

Thanks in advance!
I accepted my offer. The recruiter attached a pdf that has a place for signature and date. I just sent it back signed and he emailed me a welcome email showing it was received. There won't be further steps for a couple of months now though.
Thanks everyone!! I just emailed them again just to make sure they received my signed offer letter.

Well, congrats!! And I hope everything works out the way you want. A 7 person panel - I would have been so nervous! Did they all ask questions? Must have been a long (but good!) interview. Again, appreciate the info/tips as I haven't been able to get an interview.

Was it hard to get hired on with no nursing experience? What is the pay if you're comfortable answering? I've got to get a job! Thank you😃
I literally applied on indeed and they called me in less than 48 hours, there wasn't really any interview if you ask me, the lady just wanted to know if I was comfortable with home health as a new grad and I reluctantly said yes LOL cos I was hoping one residency program would call me. Well I was invited for on boarding right on that call. As far as pay, they will match you with any patient that's closest to your location, again you will have to choose the type of patient you want, like trach, gb, epilepsy etc. so the pay is based off of the patient's insurance. So every patient has different pay depending on the insurance and the severity of their case. I have 2 patients and one pays 33/hr and the other is paying 38/hr so it depends on their insurance. I got trained by one of the patient's nurses in home. I hope this helps

That's great to hear that you like the job!
In addition to the other poster's questions, I was wondering:
1.) How long did they train you & did it consist of you working alongside an experienced RN for some days (or weeks)?
2.) What would you say are the most common skills you utilize (ex: g-tube care, trach care, vent care, IM medications, PO medication administration, any wound care etc.)
Thanks for any help! 🙂
