Houston Nurse Residency Fall 2024

Published

Hi! I'm graduating this August and plan on applying to positions in Houston in women's health and pediatrics. I wanted to create a thread so everyone can stay up to date on applications/interviews for the October 2024 Cohorts. Good luck!

I know someone said interviews for St. Luke's were supposed to be end of the month or early July, but does anyone know when they are going to reach out to let us know?

I do really hope they reach out but I'm commenting so I can follow

I remember they took a while to reach out for the Summer. But I'm not sure exactly when bc I didn't hear back that time (just heard from classmates when they received invites). Hopefully we hear back soon.

Was anyone able to interview with other units at the Houston Methodist event yesterday, even if they weren't able to select a time slot online?

What are those people doing who had Residencies at Texas Children's? They're on a hiring freeze and have rescinded all residency invites. 😢

TY! it's def hard & confusing, most residencies were closed already when they told us... it seems like home health or a clinic setting is the best option from what I have heard until the next round of applications open 🥲

Right. I've seen in a Facebook chat that they're on a hiring freeze as well. Just absurd.

Does anyone know how long it takes to hear back from Methodist after the hiring event is over?

I asked two different units, one said up to two weeks, the other one said soon as in a couple days.

Has anyone applied to MD Anderson? If so, have they reached back?
