its hot here.
seriously. :)
i dont work at memorial hermann, but i have heard many good things about the hospital and i have a friend who works at the childrens hospital who loves it. she said its hard work, but its rewarding. never a dull moment.
houston is a great place to live, tons of stuff to do, everything in close proximity. our med center is huge - i still get lost after 2 years of living here.
good luck with your interview!

Do you know which Memorial Hermann? The system encompasses many facilites all over the city of Houston. Right now the fastest growing facility is Memorial Hermann memorial City. That one is currently at about 500 beds and is expanding dramatically. In fact the headquarters for the system is currently located at Memorial Southwest but they are building a new 35 story building at Memorial City to become their new headquarters. The pay at memorial systems is not the highest in the city but it is competitive The hospitals themselves have almost all been remodeled or totally rebuilt. They are loaded with the latest equipment and staffing is generally pretty good. They also have a high retention rate for thier staff. All in all it is not a bad place to work.

Hi,
I have a potential interview with Memorial Hermann Hospital. Does anyone work there or could anyone give me any advice regarding living in Houston? I am in the UK preparing to emigrate, married with 4 teenage kids. ER Nurse.
Thanks in advance,
Billy
