Let's keep each other updated! These are the Houston area residencies that I have applied for:

- Harris Health

- Methodist Perioperative

- St. Luke's General Surgery

Will update as others open :cat:

I applied to Harris health, Methodist acute care, and St. Luke's critical care so far! I would definitely love to hear if anyone receives any updates!

I also applied to Harris Health and Methodist (acute care). Does anyone know when Texas Children's application opens?

Last semester TCH opened in October, so if they follow the same timeline I'm guessing it will be sometime in March. I wish it wasn't so late :/

I emailed the recruiter about two weeks ago and she said it will open in a few weeks, so soon i guess. She said she would add me to a list to be notified once it is open and I haven't heard anything yet.

Can you please PM me the recruiters email so I can get on the list too?

Yup, TCH usually takes some time to open. This is pretty typical.

Also, for those of you who applied to St. Lukes -- heads up. It looks like they changed the residency to not be specialized anymore? Like, I applied for perioperative but I noticed it is gone now and replaced with a generic summer residency :/

Hi all,

TCH GN residency program application has opened and will close on February 27th.

Hi! Does anyone know how strict TCH is on the 3.5 gpa requirement?

Specializes in Critical Care.

Hello!

The 3.5 is not a GPA requirement by TCH. It is a *recommended* GPA. My graduation advisor knows plenty of people who have gotten accepted with GPAs less than 3.5!

Thanks for the information!! :)

Has anyone gotten the email for the information session for Harris Health? If so, do you know what the specialty areas are that are taking new grads to put on the application checklist?
