Houston GN Residency Thread (Summer 2017 Cohort!)

Let's keep each other updated! These are the Houston area residencies that I have applied for:

- Harris Health

- Methodist Perioperative

- St. Luke's General Surgery

Will update as others open :cat:

I got the email about the information session, but unfortunately I won't be able to go because I go to school out of state. I was wondering the same thing though, I'm not sure what specialty areas they are accepting new grads in.

I'm also out of state as well so I won't be going either. I emailed and asked if I would be able to send in the documents on the checklist but haven't gotten a reply yet

To my knowledge, you can send in the documents if you RSVP ahead of time to mention that you will not be able to attend. Some people have clinicals that day!

For those who applied to St. Lukes, did they ever email anything back after you email them your documents? I hate it when companies have you email stuff in...

That's good to know! I'm always afraid that they will somehow not receive it over email...

Pre-match day wasn't bad! It was a bit of a zoo because it was basically an open floor with each unit having posters set up, but it wasn't a make or break thing. It was more informational than anything!

Did any of you guys attend open house at Texas Children's? If so, do you remember how many GNs each unit is taking?

I never heard anything after I submitted my stuff to St. Luke's either. I tried to call to verify that they got my stuff but haven't heard back. Kinda makes me nervous that people got call backs from them... :unsure:
