I will be a new grad in May 2011 with my BSN and I have applied to a few residencies such as St. Luke's and Memorial Hermann, but I can't seem to find any of the other hospital's postings yet. Has anyone else been able to?
Speaking of Harris County, can any of you guys check your application status for Ben Taub of Lyndon B Gen and tell me if any of them says hold? I just checked today and both the Ben Taub internship and another staff nurse position I applied for says hold ... does anyone know what that means??
And shihtzu, how did the interview go? That is SO many people to apply for only 4 days!! Do you have externship experience with them? Congrats on getting an interview ... im on my way now for interview 2/2 for today!

Mine too says 100-Hold on my status. You have 2 interviews for today? wow
Does yours say hold for just the internship or any others?
Yeah, I'm from Mass and only here for the weekend so I kinda used that as my in and along with being very pushy got a couple of interviews ... I met with Maxim staffing last night, interviewed with Methodist this morning for the OR internship, and meeting with St Catherine's in Katy in an hour.

Well, I called MD today because I went on and saw that the application was closed under my status and was ****** because its legit been 48 hours since I applied!
So, got ahold of a nurse recruiter (not the one in charge of the residency)... and was subsequently told that unless you have MD Anderson externship experience they really aren't going to look at you (hence the yes/no question at the end of the application). Obviously since I am from Mass I do not, but the woman then re-read the question and was like well wait, I don't know if that means clinical experience just here or in general (REALLY?!! UGH) so then she transferred me to the woman in charge, who of course, did not answer her phone.
They do not have a clue what the hell is going on... so I wish you all the best of luck but nothing seems promising unless you pretty much already have your name in their system.
