Houston GN Residencies

I will be a new grad in May 2011 with my BSN and I have applied to a few residencies such as St. Luke's and Memorial Hermann, but I can't seem to find any of the other hospital's postings yet. Has anyone else been able to?

Princess_WannaBe..... do you what month of the year...I would definitely hold out for them but can't wait until december!!! I really would like something in August.... I don't mind having the whole summer off-lol

Ugh! This is so crazy! It's like sheer hysteria trying to just find a job. my aunt says that she knows people that will hire me for LTC ASAP.... but I'm still holding out for Ben Taub... they need to hurry up LOL. You would think, as an employee, that I shouldn't be nervous... but I just can't help it! I know some interns last term that weren't hired... maybe they had crappy interviews or whatever but I'm still a HUGE worrywart. (If all else fails, I have also applied to small towns and/or will take the LTC position). Do you guys have any back up plans???

I got a call from Bayshore Medical Center! I don't know what to think. It was an automated message from the Telemetry manager wanting to speak to me regarding a position. Should I be excited? I wonder why it was an automated message...

For HCHD, the only way new grads can get access to jobs is only through the GN residency. They don't hire new grads at the clinics...UNLESS you were maybe an employee in that clinic (and even that's a big IF). Mojo: did you apply for the internship? Pamela, I called them today and voicemail popped up so I left a message.
