I was just wondering if anyone here is planning on applying for the ADN program this fall 2018. I will hopefully be applying but I need a retake on the hesi exam I passed all sections except the AP section.

The title of the e-mail is "IdentoGO Service Confirmation". It says your agency/organization has pre-enrolled you for a fingerprint-based background check. Idk if it's from HCC or the other school I applied to that's why I was wondering if anyone else has gotten it.

Oh, I was accepted and I haven't received an email so it may be another school. Not sure.

I haven't received anything either yet. I asked ms.regina today she said I have to wait until they send the BON card to my address but I thought we had to get finger printed first? I also had to ask her some questions about vaccines & said I'll have to talk to the nursing department so I called the school & they transferred me to her again but I need to talk to someone else. Does anyone know who else we can contact besides her bc she said she wouldn't be able to answer my vaccine questions?

Thank you! So I got the hep b and mmr series when I was a kid I did my titers but it came out low on hep b and measles/rubeola. I called the city of houston health dep & asked if they did boosters they said yes so I went & she gave me the first dose of the mmr & hep b series, she told me I had to repeat the whole series but I told her no I just need a booster to do the 2nd titer. I'm wondering if a first dose of these series are equivalent to a booster bc that is what she gave me? Idk if that makes sense. Also she pissed me off bc I asked for the tdap and she gave me the td she refused to give me the tdap bc she said we're only supposed to get the tdap once, I got it in 2007 but i knew i had to get the tdap booster bc the school is asking for it. Now I have to go somewhere else to get the tdap bc I don't feel like they are well informed there. Idk if getting the tdap a few weeks after this td booster will be bad for me, I'm going to wait until my physical exam to ask for the tdap.

In regards to the hepatitis B, I believe you can get a booster then get a titer one month later to prove immunity. Go see a doctor ASAP and check to see if the first dose will boost your immunity. Since you had some immunity already, it should be enough for you to pass within that 30 day period. Sounds like they messed up your Tdap. The Tdap is supposed to be a vaccine. You may have to get the pertussis vaccine by itself. You should go ask all these questions to your doctor, he will better inform you.I would go see the doctor either Thursday or Fri. Monday is the 7th, that would cut it close to the deadline if you want to check immunity for hep b within 30 days.

It's been two weeks plus since acceptance and I'm still waiting for an email for BON clearance. I've noticed other nursing programs in the Houston area already started this process. Has anyone heard anything?

Nope and I got one from the other school I was accepted into. I'm going up to HCC to see a counselor tomorrow morning. I want know if I start on it will it count for both.

In regards to the hepatitis B, I believe you can get a booster then get a titer one month later to prove immunity. Go see a doctor ASAP and check to see if the first dose will boost your immunity. Since you had some immunity already, it should be enough for you to pass within that 30 day period. Sounds like they messed up your Tdap. The Tdap is supposed to be a vaccine. Thanks! So I called & it seems the dose does count as boosters, castle branch accepted them too I just hope the 2nd titer comes out positive for both mmr & hep b if not im screwed. & the tdap I did have to get the booster but I will be asking my doctor to give it to me. I'm just not sure when I should get the titer some places say I should wait 6 weeks and others say it should be fine within 30 days.

I still haven't either I've tried to contact the school but they don't answer I might just have to go up there to ask bc I've heard the BON takes awhile and i'm trying to make it by the deadline.

if you don't mind me asking, what are the things you had trouble with? Also, is there a math test given every week?
