Just wanted to know if anyone is applying this April to get in for fall 2015 ADN program at HCC?
Also, I have completed all of the required prerequisites and I am taking all of the recommended classes this Spring. Do I still have a chance of getting accepted even though the recommended classes are still in progress?
I plan on registering for the HESI as soon as HCC updates the test dates and I am hoping to get a date in February.
Has anyone submitted their application? And is anyone attending the upcoming info session on March 5th? I want to submit my app this Friday but want to make sure I have everything. I still have not gotten an email response or been able find a phone # to contact anyone. Also I can't find any updated info on their website. Any info or help is appreciated! :)
Okay finally got a hold of someone to answer the questions I had. We can start turning in applications now and deadline is April 1. All that is needed in your packet is the application (it's difficult to get it online so they said you can fill it when you drop off your packet since its a very simple form), copies of your transcript unofficial if you took prereqs at HCC and all official transcripts from other school must be sent to the school, and copies of your HESI/TEAS scores. Hope this helps others since it helped me!
Hi, I spoke to an advisor on yesterday and the deadline has now been extended to June 1st for ADN to allow students to finish their current courses in progress. Also, they take an average of the cumulative gpa's earned from all colleges attended. I plan on submitting my application once this semester grades are up mid May. Hope this helps. I am applying for Fall 2015 as well. I am going to go ahead and sent in my application because I've taken the TEAS and the HESI and I have all the pre-reqs. Does anyone know when I will find out if I get in? I don't want to have to wait all the way until June!

I agree! I don't want to wait until summer to find out but the website does say the deadline is now June 1, I'm hoping by the end of June we will know. I'm still going to submit mine this week. I wonder how many students are applying. Do you know anyone applying or already in the program?
Did you all completed microbiology? I was also going to apply for fall 2015 but I just checked that they extended the deadline to
June 1st and added microbiology to the prerequisites (which was the only class I was going to complete later on since it wasn't a prerequisite before ): ).

I would call and ask if you can still apply. I have finished all the prerequisites only because I am applying for bsn programs as well and Micro is s a requirement for all.
So I went to drop off my application today and spoke to the nursing admissions advisor. English 2 and humanities /arts have been removed from the perquisites and microbiology has been added. The advisor stated that a lot of student were upset due to micro not being taken yet and therefore they couldn't apply. The advisor stated that you can still apply if you sign up for the first 5 week summer course for microbiology and they will accept it. The first 5 weeks only. So for anyone who was discouraged on that, sign up for the first 5 week summer session beginning April 6. Hope this helps someone! I'll be turning my app in after final grades post in May now.

How do they handle GPAs? Is it an overall GPA, or do they take the best grades if a class was retaken?
