Houston Area New Grad Internship Applicants for Summer 2014

Hi everyone,

There doesn't seem to be a lot of current threads for new grads who are in the process of applying and interviewing for new grad internships so I decided to create one so we can all connect and share info about the process and what's happening! So if you've interviewed or applied to anywhere in the medical center (Ben Taub, TCH, Memorial Hermann, Methodist, etc.) or any of the other peripheral hospitals in and around Houston please feel free to comment about your experience so we can all stay updated and help each other through this stressful time! Also any advice from new grad internship alumni would be greatly appreciated!

Has anyone heard anything from memorial hermann southeast, they randomly called me and asked me if I had a license and said they would call back but haven't yet? What about methodist west or willowbrook?

I interviewed with MH SE last Friday and they said they would call me tomorrow and let me know if I'll be having second interview with them on this coming Tuesday.

Nothing with Methodist yet though.

@mrsrn2014: when did you apply to southeast? I wanted to apply there but I guess I missed their application

Has anybody heard anything from a hospital?

Ive been denied by quite a few. Even the interviews i went on. I just had another Fri so im waiting now for my second interview. God be with us all. It appears to be harder than i was told. This sucks

I've been denied a lot too and still haven't heard anything from a lot of hospitals I've applied to. This is a lot harder than I could have ever imagined and is really testing my patience. Where did you get your latest interview at?

My last was at park plaza. I know we can't be that bad.
