Nothing new from me either. I was able to get through to HR at West Houston Med Center last week and she said they hadn't started calling people yet but didn't know when they would start. I'm still applying to every hospital job that pops up so hopefully we'll hear something soon.

I'm gonna have to start going through units too because having a near 4.0 hasn't gotten me very many calls so I doubt that matters very much. The only thing I can think of that others might have going for them is a lot of extracurricular activities and maybe volunteering. jumpinjax: I applied to both of those positions but haven't received any calls from either of them. TheguyRN: How long after you graduated did you find your job?

Well good luck with that and yeah I know we can't be that bad. I just wish I knew what it was that they were looking for.

I've been denied a lot too and still haven't heard anything from a lot of hospitals I've applied to. This is a lot harder than I could have ever imagined and is really testing my patience. Where did you get your latest interview at?

Has anyone heard anything from memorial hermann southeast, they randomly called me and asked me if I had a license and said they would call back but haven't yet? What about methodist west or willowbrook?

I'm wondering if Methodist SL reached out to students who had clinicals there first, because I've heard of other classmates of mine being offered jobs there as well. Methodist West had some new graduate positions as well.

@amarie0613: Congrats on your offer from Methodist. I completely understand how you are feeling about Hermann, they rejected me too. When did you apply to methodist Sugar Land because I just saw jobs posted for new grads last week?

I got a rejection letter the day after the hermann interview Now I'm just hoping and praying for another interview. mrsrn2014: Have you heard anything else from Methodist Willowbrook or harris health?

That is a good question. I know they said at the harris health info session that they were looking to hire about 70 new grads but they have multiple hospitals and other facilities so who knows how that is divided up. Has anyone who is going to the Memorial Hermann match day heard anything about it other than the little info they gave? Like how many people are in the group interview? Any advice on how to prepare for a group interview would be good too!

A lot of these hospitals seem to be really unorganized too! Its really frustrating trying to figure out how they are picking and choosing people. I haven't heard from any other Memorial Hermann other than TMC, but I had a classmate get a random telephone interview from the Memorial Hermann in Katy Women's Services. Apparently they are only looking to hire 2 people there in women's services.

I applied to women services too at willowbrook but I haven't heard anything yet. I did hear of a classmate getting an interview there though. Was the phone call a phone interview? That is weird for them to be impatient when they were the ones who called you! BSN2013RN: It was medsurg oncology

mrsrn2014: I also put L&D for my first choice but was told there is nothing available in women's services for both ben taub or LBJ. I put med surg second so they asked me to choose from some medsurg specialties for an interview. My friend that interviewed that day too was offered a job on the spot and asked to make a decision by monday because they want to know whose gonna be on the floor by the end of next week, so I'm not sure that they are still interviewing. That could be just for that specific floor though. What did you apply for at methodist willowbrook?

So far I've applied to Harris Health, Memorial Hermann (TMC, Katy, and Northwest), Methodist (TMC and Willowbrook) and The Woman's Hospital. I've received two interviews from harris health but still waiting on a final decision. I also received an invitation to match day at memorial hermann in the medical center. What has everyone else been up to and has anyone else received interviews or heard anything?
