hello guys! I'm going to take the NLE this June. Please share any advice and tips that you may have about what areas/subjects to focus on, what books to read and what review materials to study... thank you very much.

Nursing is nursing, who is on the BON should not influence the questions on the exam.
And be aware that any questions that were previously used will not be on this exam. That has already been discussed.

BON- Board of Nursing
I agree with Suzanne, it doesn't matter who are the members in the BON. If you really study hard, you will pass the exams, may it be the NLE, CGFNS or NCLEX.
I also don't agree with people asking for tips about the exams because this are the things that get us into trouble (nothing personal, just my own opinion). Don't rely on what the other test takers say because it would only stress you out more. Just study, read your review materials, relax and most importantly pray. Believe that you can do it.
Good luck to all of you!

i took the june 2007 board exams and what can i say is that, the questions were formulated to test your CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS. so my advice? read books where there are clinical simulations answer them.
and lastly believe in yourself!

If your goal is to work and migrate to the US you can actually skip the NLE if your intended State do not require CGFNS Certification. However, if you have plans to practice as a RN in the Phil. then go ahead but be careful on w/c review centers to go through as some employers in the US will be asking if you have attended local review centers. The June 2006 NLE controversy is a big news in the US as it was here in the Philippines.
