  1. I have a degree in eng'g. but my second choice in college was accounting or nursing, during my 3rd yr. in eng'g., I almost shifted to nursing but I didn't...after 13 yrs of engineering practice, I took up nursing and now I'm a registered nurse and planning to be the best I could be as a nurse. Just like that, life is short...live your life to the fullest, be what you want to be, enjoy life, God is good, good is life.
  2. A very memorable experience, doing things you never thought of doing again...going to school with students who are 15 years younger, but as time pass by you'll tend to go with the flow and you'll forget that you are older than them..lol, just enjoy every second of it.
  3. Have a degree in Mechanical Eng'g., been into heavy equipment engine sales for 13 yrs., tired of doing same thing over and over...shifted to nursing, now I'm a BSN R.N., enjoying every second of it.
  4. Hi there, just new to allnurses...I want to share my experience when applying for a job as an R.N., just passed the NLE last Dec. 2006. They told me I'm over the age bracket and 35yrs old is the max age alowed to a gov't. hospital, i haven't tried applying for a private hospital... anyways that was at Ospital ng maynila, then my wife told me that she new the Director of Lung Center and maybe it could help me get in and practice my profession...to make the story short, went there submitted my resume, 3 weeks later, I got a phone call for an interview...went there at that day, was very excited and was told that I will have my training for 3 months but I cannot be a accepted as a regular because am over 35 yrs., training is 6,000.00 pesos for 3 mo., I will have my training this July. I've just submitted my application and TOR at NM BON last mo. and am waiting for the reply...as what Ms Suzanne4 said focus on our NCLEX studies, I think my priority now should be concentrating on my NCLEX studies then passing it, 2nd IELTS exam. For the record I may be 40 but i still look young and handsome that's what my wife said' and I can still walk and run.:monkeydance::pumpiron::chuckle off the record: After the interview I got into the car and was very frustrated, my wife was inside the car waiting and asked If I got accepted....?? I asked her....Do I look that old:lol2: :roll
