i was scheduled to take my NCLEX pn today at 8am. I have a 5month old daughter and she doesn't go to bed till 11, so I stayed up with her studying of course. Tried to go to sleep at 12am but couldn't , I have the WORST migraine. (i need new glasses & starring at writing & computers for more than 1hr kills me) anyways it took some Tylenol , finally fell asleep at 230 & woke up at 5am with a SORE THROAT!!! & the sniffles lol. turned on our Humidifier thinking that would help (i had to be up at 6am) but it didn't. Fiancé works 30mins away and didn't get home to take me till 730. I Forgot my ATT , went back home and grabbed what I thought was the ATT but it was the Packet you get saying your eligible to test.
so I realized I had to come Back home and print out the ATT . wth is wrong with me ??? it's like 750 now leaving my house and make it to the testing center at 8:01 :) ... Runny nose, watery eyes, sinus headache and congestion while taking the exam , YAAAYY ME. I felt like crap!!! Finished my exam in 3hours with ALL 205 questions. half the test was SATA, had like 10+ drag and drop, 1 exhibit, 1 diagram, and all the rest were PRIORITY and PHARM . ive never seen that many priority or pharm on one exam in my life. even had a SATA where the answers were pictures of EKG strips!!! no math though. Walked out if the PV center Sick as a Dog and feeling like a Failure. I didn't even want to try the PVT because I knew I failed. I had no idea what to expect with a test that was that all over the place. After being harassed for 30 mins i finally did the PVT and CRIED LIKE A BABY when I seen the good pop up. then laughed because I thought it was a joke. NCLEX MADE ME WORK FOR MY LICENSE!!! but fiancé passed his nclex with 85 questions after being out if school 5 YEARS he only studied 20 with my help(iwas a GVN & fresh with knowledge) and he passed. Thank you God for allowing me to accomplish this goal . and congrats to everyone else . thank you for ALL the prayers . Goodluck future nurses
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF YOU GUYS TOO. we did it ! hard work pays off. & Remember if you don't pass the first time don't quit or think it's all over, TRY AGAIN & AGAIN. it's like driving a car, are you going to stop driving if you get into a finder bender (or even a big accident where your car is totaled) NOPE, we just pay the deductible & get a new car ! lol Goodluck guys :)
