I am nurse on a telemetry floor who works night shift 12 hour shifts, so I find myself working only 3 nights a weeks. There is not much overtime or pick up shifts on the floor I work on, I would like to find a per diem or flexible part time job, I am thinking home care? Does anyone have any suggestions, I love in massachuettes (Fall River area) close to rhode island? Any suggestions if I should Persue this or not ? Or a company ?

Totally feasible. Find any company that engages in extended care home health and provide them with the schedule that you want to work around. But be advised that most extended care home health is rated at the LPN level and paid accordingly. Some companies will pay an RN more, but many do not. Good luck.

I do home health and we have many nurses that work per diem that have another full time job. You schedule your patients around your full time work schedule. We get to schedule as many or as few visits as we want. When looking for an agency I would go to homecare compare and look up their scores before applying to make sure it is a good agency.

I don't kniw your area but I might look into infusion services if it's offered. You would already have the IV skills and good drug knowledge with your cardiac experience and infusion is more focused than a wide variety of what you do in home health (assuming you are referring to intermittent visits).
Any idea on how much you get paid per visit ?? I was looking into an infusion solution company as well !! Thanks so much .. I just didn't know if it would be worth it, trying to save up to buy a house figured that would be good saving money if it would be worth it .. Any idea on how many visits most companies offer per diem RN's ?

You can go to any of the many hospitals in the area and sign up for 8- or 12-hour per diem shifts. St Anne's/St Luke's/Tobey (Southcoast Group) has a float pool. Most of the VNAs also have per diem work if you have homecare experience.
