Nurses Month 2024 | Discounts & Freebies AORN Celebrates Nurses Month

I've recently been accepted to Holy Family's Accelerated Nursing program-- I understand they have just begun their first cohort, so finding information is very difficult and I just want to be informed before I make any sort of decision. Are there any current HFU accelerated nursing students or traditional nursing students who can speak to their experience with the university? I've seen many negative posts but they also seem a bit outdated! Thanks!

I guess that means our cohort is not full. Our original start day was in May and they pushed it up so that may have caused some people to have to wait for the Fall start.

Hey Mike, just to clarify, you have applied for the Fall 2018, but Don offered you a spot for the Summer? So it means there are spots still available for the this summer? It could work just fine for me!

If you have all your pre reqs done, I would reach out to Don. When I went for my interview in the Fall, they told me they could put me on the list for Spring if there were spots but my pre reqs were not completed yet.

I was interested before -- he remembered my interest in the summer program. I believe that he filled it already cause orientation in Thursday. It was too soon of a start for me. If I had another week or two of prep I would have done it.

Congrats Allydac! When did you apply for Fall 2018? Did you have an interview? I have applied for fall as well and just sitting here and waiting ugh :)

Hi all. I'm just starting in Cohort 9, and we have our first 204 exam next week. We didn't get our ATI testing started yet. And from the Fundamental of nursing textbook there's not much to study besides the terms and definitions. Can someone from the previous cohorts share what info or study experiences to prepare for the exams? Do I just need to do a lot of practice questions from ATI? What are the questions like? Professor Mathew seems to be kinna vague and general on what we need to study. Thanks

Where do the professors get their questions from the ATI banks? ppt? books?

Id like to know as each ASBN programs can be different in terms of extreme to somewhat moderate difficulty

For Professor Mathews, record her lectures and listen to them over and over and go over the PowerPoints. Her exams are tough but fair, listening to her lectures really helps.
