holistic healer

:uhoh21: I went to this holistic healer last week. I am having neck pain.

I went to his 2 hour healing/massage session. I guess I didn't read the pamplet very well. But some things he did made me feel kind of uneasy. Please advise me if this is normal.

The pamplet said he used reiki, guided imaginary, and some other things I didn't understand.

I'm wearing my underwear and a camisole. and a blanket provided.

Towards the end of the session-he is rubbing my belly, then sternum I think about 40 times in circle. I had taken my camisole off earlier for the baack rub.

there is no blanket covering me, I'm exposed.and then he is like caressing my breasts to my abdomin. does this sound normal?

He also tells me during the session that he is my friend. As the session is over I get up to dress and he is looking at my breasts-evaluating them. he tells me he know a way to make them um more elevated. This behavior doesn't seem quite right to me. As I am writing my check out. he tells me not to tell husband what he did-cause he wouldn't understand. No sh t, I don't hardly understand. He also tell me the prices will be cheaper than the pamplet states, I don't realy know what to make of all this. Does this sound normal?

my neck is on the mend, very slowly though

Every one is right you have been sexually molested under the guise of "therapy". My only suggestion is that you might get better results by telling your husband and letting him get a few friends together to pay this bozoo a visit.

Yes, let's just beat him up and then string him up. Get a rope!

This guy is just a quack, a medical fraud. He is offering no valid therapies at all. With the exception of guided imagery, (a psychological technique), meditation, stretching, there is not one scientificly verified "therapy" in the whole list! It's just a collection of new age "buzz words". You put yourself in the hands of the medical equivalent of a witch doctor. No, that slanders honest witch doctors.

Perhaps you should get out and read more to really see what's going on.

I have had several massages, all by women, and I've never had more than one body part exposed at a time. The practioner would always ask me, "do you want your abdomen massaged?" to which I would reply, "no" because I'm ticklish. I've NEVER had my breasts massaged, or even exposed.

I've had Reiki--it's not meant to make you uncomfortable. It's mainly hands-off, too.

The purpose of using massage and Reiki is to make you relaxed and comfortable, to allow healing to occur--NEVER uncomfortable. He even tells you up front you will feel uncomfortable???

Agreed, this kind of thing puts all massage therapists and Reiki practictioners in a bad light. This is not the norm.
