Check out www.asiahotels.com
That is the one that I always used. I like their descriptions of the actual hotel properties, not just the basic room. And they give location as well. I would start there.

If you're in a tight budget, Central Park Hotel is the place to stay. Just 5-8 min. walk to the Grand Millennium.
Nearest hotel is Lan Kwai Fong but more expensive.
Stayed at Central Park and no problems at all.
Loryn :)
Yes Lan Kwai Fong is a bit more expensive.
Ramada is also cheaper but more far.
thanks you so much... that would be a great help...

also check http://www.hostels.com i stayed in oriental pearl (that's in tsim sha tsui) last may 10-14. very cheap price, very nice and clean hostel. near MTR... which is the most convenient way to get to the test center :) good luck to your exam!
hi thanks.. i have visited www.hostels.com i was amazed with the prices. its very cheap... i will be traveling alone and im afraid that i cant manage to go to the grand millenium plaza. do they have maps for that? which has complete directions? is it easy to locate the MTR? im poor with directions
by the way, my choices are MAN HING LUNG at mirador mansion and MIRADOR HOSTEL. it is much cheaper.

Do check also HotelTravel.com, I would definitely recommend their
site to everyone.
They have cheaper prices compared to other online booking sites.
In fact, they were my first option but the hotels I wanted at that
time were already fully booked so I ended up contacting Central
Park Hotel instead which was still have a fee rooms left considering
it was a peak season for tourists. Try to make a reservation online
as early as possible to get the best location that fits your budget.
The Golden Rule is, try to be at HK at least a day before your exam
so you can do an ocular inspection on how to go the the testing site.
MTR is very efficient and best transportation going around HK.
You cannot even compare this to our MRT or LRT. Just buy the
Octupus card (3 day unlimited rides) at the Airport so you won't
go all through the hassle of buying the tickets at their stations.
Direction is not a problem at HK. In fact there are signs every.
There are lots of Free maps at the airport, try to grab a few.
