Anyone taking history 1312...RN to BSN AP program? What are your thoughts so far? Anyone who took it already has any advice? The format is the same that 1311; but did yall find the material easier compared to 1311?

They are both the same as far as confusing layout and having to click folders which open subfolders and hidden links and discussion and reflections and reactions...
My coach---I did not like her. I felt she graded unfairly and for either class I did not like the lack of grading rubric, it felt like it was not an objective measurement of my work but her subjective approval of my opinion. I squeaked out with a 4.0 but barely. I also felt that she held the class to the standard of everyone being a history major, when everyone was RN or high school students. There was no positive feedback at all, and several times I emailed her and got either a non-answer to my very specific question, or she answered my question incorrectly (asked about assignment B and C and she gives an answer that pertains to Assignment A, etc).
The book is available for free through a link provided in class. I saved the PDF to a thumb drive and had the chapters printed at STaples. It was about $60 or $80 for front and back copies of the chapters we were required to read. Much easier than sitting at a computer to read chapters. Because they changed the book recently, be aware that several times questions on the test referred to material that was not covered in the required readings or lectures. I found this grossly unfair but I was never awarded any extra points despite the admission that yes, these came from another text but no, you should somehow know these things via telepathy or something.
Thanks for your feedback, i really appreciate it!:) wow it is very impressive that you still finished with a 4.0. Yes i can completely relate to you in that the layout is very tedious. They do think we are majoring in History; expectations are unrealistic for our major and an online program. So far i got a B and very happy if I finish with a C, to be honest...I m just counting the weeks and cant wait to put these Histories classes behind me. I do think the material is not quite as boring as 1311, but definitely the amount of assignments are insane!
You were right, same layout, way too much material to cover but i have to say, i found the material way more interesting than 1311. Ended up with a B+ and happy is all over![emoji5]ï¸

I just finished history 1311 and am starting history 1312 in January. Do they use the same book for both classes? Any advice with history 1312?
There is a small book (clashes of will- Broemsamle & Arthur) you will need to answer some discussion boards or complete assignments. The text book that you will read is actually free and the teacher will provide you with the link and you can just download the pdf version. Honestly, the material for this class is way more interesting. For this class i just skimmed throughout the material in the modules and mainly focused on reading the chapters and that was enough to get a B+ i n my opinion if you spend a great deal of time reading every material in modules you will get overwhelmed. Good luck[emoji106]ðŸ»
^ what i meant to say is that the small book will be used for to answer some discussion boards mainly or to answer the reflections...

I also thought the instructor was unfair. Instead of he usual grading style - if you meet all the criteria you get a 100 - the instructor I had adhered to the philosophy that if you meet expectations you get a 'C' which means average. You had to go above and beyond her high expectations to even get a 'B' and she told me in an email that she hardly ever gives As. And the volume of work was crazy!! I eeked out a B and was thrilled just to be done with that chapter of my life!!
Wow!!! That is crazy!!! I agree, it also depends on the instructors. I have noticed male instructors are more lenient and reasonable, and female instructors get fixated in minor things and love to deduct points... That is just what i have noticed... Just like you, i m ecstatic to be done with the histories from this program!

Both classes had just to much reading... I felt like a history major but overall I made B's in both classes
Would anyone be willing to email me a copy of the syllabus so I can try to get a head start on the reading for history 1312?

I'm taking this class right now and it is still ridiculous. The expected study time is an outrageous amount. I'm a second-degree seeking student who went to a prestigious college preparatory school prior to attending UTA. The way they want you to frame your essays is utterly amateur and very specific to their style. I am a 4.0 student with 75% of my classes completed for UTA RN to BSN but right now I'm squeaking by with a 90.1 and I do not expect an "A" in this class.
