Nope, actually I hated it. My A&P 101 grade has gone from 96% to 89%. At least my professor offers extra credit, and I have time to get back to an A. How did you navigate the tissue practicum? Any insights?

I have a practicum on Friday for tissues and skeletal system....I need to make at least an 88 to make me happy....
At first when I found out we were using pictures, and not the microscopes with the slides, I was relieved. Now I think the microscope would have been better. I don't know, pseudostratified columnar and transitional epitheliums looked the same on the pics we used.

Hi Ogram14,
I almost think you need a photographic memory to remember them all. Does anyone have suggestions on how to remember the tissues?

I bought an old version of an anatomy book on Amazon for $8 and cut out the pictures of the tissue. I pasted them on flash cards and memorized them.
You have an impressive memory, I did the notecards and, while it did help me with location-fibers-function, I hit a wall with the practicum because some of them just looked the same to me. At least now we're onto bones next, something tangible.

Wheater's histology book has excellent images
I am studying for lab practical and we will have to identify epithelium tissues from microscope. I took pictures of slides and downloaded to my computer and this seems to be helpful. I just need to identify location and functions now with the right slide. Any suggestions to help me in my studies are welcome. I also need to identify structures and layers, of the epidermis, dermis and hypodermis of integumentary system. Thank you in advance.
