A week ago i was interviewed by two dialysis nurses after conversation they gave me papers for drug screen and undergo background check. just yesterday they called me and said that all were cleared and I'm Hired and all i have to do is to show up to the training center these coming week ang bring all the important documents. Here's the thing by that phone call i've had mentioned and asked for their permission that I'm going for a 2 weeks trip (in the middle of training) to accompany my husband for his work in military these was pre-planned over a month ago and bought already the ticket and also told that if it is complicated to them i said that i'm willing to cancel my trip because in the long term this job was important to me. the Nurse who hired me told me to wait for her call because she needs to talk to the trainer if these will affects the schedules. anyways, is it too late? are they gonna change their mind of hiring me? because of these trip? i thought about these all night since i'm still not signing anything... they still have the chance to change their mind... right now i'm waiting for the call. Please help me for assurance coz right now i'm still anxious about what i've sed.

So, what happened?

I'm curious as well. I'm about to be in the same boat w/the pre-planned trip. :-/

a new employee (RN) left for two weeks in the middle of his classes to get married with a honeymoon. our employer just stated to make sure he brought back pictures. if you inform them before training starts and while you are negotiating your contract, it's considered fine. That's were I work, good luck to you. keep us informed.

Well, you told them you're willing to cancel your trip if it'll muck up everything, right? I think you're still good. :p

I would try really hard to negotiate the trip into the training - don't know the job market there though. If they don't then I would not plan on working for them for very long - not more than 3 years since it would show them to be not family/employee friendly- wish you the best
