Hillsborough Community College - Spring 2014

Published

Hello all,

I wanted to start a thread for those applying to HCC's Spring 2014 nursing program. I am a stay at home mom. I know its early but I wanted to get as much info as possible. The deadline isn't until 6/1. I'm a current HCC student. My pre-req GPA is 3.57 (all A's 1 B and 1 C ), I'm hoping that this is good enough to get me a spot in the program.

What is everyone elses GPA? I heard its lower for the Spring.

I got in with a 3.7!

Hey everyone, im new to this forum but i got my letter today. I got in with a 3.86. so happy, the wait has been terrible.

Congrats to all those who got in. Haven't gotten my letter yet so hopefull I will know on Monday!

Congratulations mjmh and nice to meet you, dstee009!

Lol I'm more anxious now!!!

Congrats guys!! As the letter says we should be proud of our accomplishments!

Congrats to everybody that got in. to those who have yet to hear, dont worry you will get in Monday. also, i know of one person that got in and is not going to be able to accept the position, so at least one alternate is in.

Yup. I've heard from two of my friends outside this thread.. one got a denial letter and the other got accepted as an alternate (who will not be accepting and decided to go with another school). Regardless; congratulations to everyone -- you all have worked very hard to be where you are now and should be proud of your achievements.

What was the gpa that got in?

What was the gpa that got in?

The alternate GPA was 3.58 and the denial was (essentially) a 3.52. I think the alternate was due to the low amount of credits they had taken at HCC. Someone with the same GPA but more credits beat them to the punch.

It works out for him though, since he decided to apply to a veterinary program instead and got accepted this Friday.

EDIT: I'm sorry... I've just been corrected. His GPA was NOT a 3.52, but HCC calculated it as a 3.48. I apologize.
