Hillsborough Community College Spring 2016 Applicants

Hi everyone!

I know it's a little early, but is anyone out there applying to HCC's Nursing program starting Spring 2016? I am, and I'm dying for this semester to be over so I can submit my app! Just wanted to start the discussion since no one else has!

I took my TEAS today (scored a 79.3%) and just turned in my nursing application!!! Let the waiting begin....

So, I was sent an email saying I had a $53 refund waiting for me. I about had a heart attack thinking I filled out the application wrong somehow and they were giving me my application fee back! I frantically called the Bursar office asking what was going on. They told me all they could see on my account was a $53 fee to the Health Science Department and she didn't know why I was getting a refund. She said she would put in a ticket to the supervisor and she would call me back in a few days. It turns out that it was an error in the system and my money order was cashed and not refunded. Lord, you don't realize how much you want something until its taken away from you! Just wanted to give you guys a heads up in case this happens to anyone else. ;)

Thank you for the heads up! It has only been a week since the deadline and I am so impatient. I keep checking to see if I made a mistake or if they have reviewed my application yet. Nothing so far so I guess I can just continue to be a nervous wreck lol.

Me too! I kept thinking what if it gets lost on someones desk or 100 other scenarios along that line of thinking! The only good thing that came from the refund mistake is that the Bursar office was able to tell me that on my account it showed that my money order was received by the Health Science Department. Maybe you guys can call them too and see if the Health Science Department has posted anything in your accounts. It will give you guys peace of mind knowing that your application was 100% received.:)

Hello, I have also applied for the Spring 2016 nursing program. This is my first time posting. I have been stalking the site for a few weeks now. This is going to be an extremely long summer and I have already started driving my husband crazy coming up with a million different things that can go wrong. I just wish that I could fast forward the next few months. I hate waiting. :arghh:
