Hillsborough Community College Spring 2016 Applicants

Hi everyone!

I know it's a little early, but is anyone out there applying to HCC's Nursing program starting Spring 2016? I am, and I'm dying for this semester to be over so I can submit my app! Just wanted to start the discussion since no one else has!

I'm going tomorrow to turn in my application! And I believe we do turn it in to the health sciences drop box in the student services building! When do you take your TEAS Lauren?

My gpa is a 3.8 and I made a 65 on my teas test (barely passed it). I dropped my application off in the health sciences drop box at the dale mabry campus.

Hey everyone! I just took the TEAS Test and my head is killing me. The science section was so hard! There was just too much info to study. I'm turning in my application tomorrow. What did you guys turn in application wise?

I turned in the application along with a copy of my CPR license and a copy of the TEAS test score sheet (just in case). Oh, and the fee for the application!

I'm just paranoid that I'll make a mistake and will be denied due to an incomplete application. I'm seriously going to have nightmares about it! I'm having an advisor review it tomorrow just to make sure everything is in order. Good Luck ya'll!! :up:

Hi everyone. I took my Teas today and passed with a 68 whew. It was way harder than I thought it would be, I thought I failed. Turned in my application today. The wait is going to kill me. Good luck to everyone.

Does anyone know how to tell if your application has been received? I turned mine in, but of course I am so paranoid that something went wrong lol I thought it said something about checking 'My Documents' on web advisor, but I can't remember for sure.

There's a couple of paragraphs about it on page 2 of the nursing application on HCC's website. Log on to web advisor then to Hawkmail if that's the email you gave on your application if you want to correspond with them about your application before the due date. If you used your personal email make sure to check your spam folder for any responses. The "My Documents" folder in web advisor will show "Not Received" or "ASAP" until the Health Science Admission Team reviews your application. If you wanted conformation that your application was for sure received you had to include a prepaid, self-addressed post card with it. Of course I didn't send one in so now I'll be wondering if they received mine as well, even though I thoroughly shoved my application in the drop box!

When I dropped off my application there was a paper that said allow 12-15 weeks from the deadline to completely process all of your documents and show on your documents in web advisor. When they begin to process your application web advisor will show each document as 'not received' 'ASAP' 'under review' or a blank space. Hope that helps.

I take my TEAS tomorrow morning!!! Ahhhhh. And I have my application and check all ready to turn in when I'm done. I just finished taking the FULL practice test from the TEAS V test prep book and scored an 86%. But I'm soooo nervous still. The science was KILLER. Especially the chemistry part.

GOOD LUCK! My best advise is, if you don't know a question just guess and move on. You've got this! Stay calm and just give it your best shot!
