Hillsborough Community College RN program fall 2013

I plan to attend to HCC's 2013 fall evening nursing program (applying in Jan). I am curious to see what people people's GPA is going in. I hear spring's is lower than fall's.

I received the same email and meet none of the criteria that they talk about in the email I'm confused in going down to the financial aid office tomorrow in person to get some answers this will only be my 4th semester coming up

I got the same email and will head down there first thing in the morning. Im thinking maybe, hopefully because I didn't sign up for 6 credit hours over the summer which I knew they wouldn't cover it unless you were taking at least 6, and I have already paid for summer classes out of pocket.....thats all I can think of. I don't know just a thought but don't like getting an email like that, makes me feel like Im doing something wrong lol If anyone finds out before me please post and I will do the same, plans to go around 9am. Thanks

Thank goodness I am not the only one, I almost had a heart attack! I talked to my mother about it, she thinks it's possible that it is just because we have not been able to sign up for our 10 credit nursing class and are not even part-time students for fall; or that it's because an AS is only "supposed" to take 2 years and nursing obviously takes longer. If either of those are the case though we easily should be able to get this issue fixed. I won't be able to go up to talk to anyone til Monday, so by all means please post what you find out!

I got the email also. It must have something to do with not being signed up for Fall...registration opened last month. I was just in FA a few weeks ago...they know where I'm at. I feel like they would have said something at that time, if there was a problem. I'm waiting on my tax transcript, and will be going up there in the next couple weeks to turn things in. To those of you going up there today, please post what you find out. I'm sure everything is fine :yes:

If you got this email you do have to go to address it, basically your suspended bc you have completed your preqs and will no longer be taking classes for your the program you will have to do the appeal form and basically say that you finished your pre reqs and will now only be taking the program for future classes....big headache lol i know!!! Always difficult

The link to the form on the e-mail does not work. Any idea where the form can be accessed? I pulled up FA forms for 2013-14, but don't see a form that addresses an appeal. FA is so aggravating. This is kind of premature on their part...I don't think we will be registered for classes until after orientation, which is an HCC decision. Seems like they would wait until after that time to require an appeal. Sorry...just frustrated...I have spent about as much time in the FA office as I have in classes over the past few years.

I just wanted to let everyone know, I got a letter in the mail today congratulating me on being accepted into the program. I was an alternate so it sounds like the alternates should start receiving thier letters. My gpa was 3.67. I am so happy this is good news for all alternates : ) Good luck to my fellow alternates!

3.56 got my acceptance letter too! I won't be super excited until I see if I get the campus that I chose as #1!

Congrats to all the alternates who got in, now you r no longer an alternate and we can all look forward to the same things. Can't wait to find out what campus we get.☺ Should be next month time.
