Hillsborough Community College RN program fall 2013

Published

Hello,

I plan to attend to HCC's 2013 fall evening nursing program (applying in Jan). I am curious to see what people people's GPA is going in. I hear spring's is lower than fall's.

Thanks!

I got in...but I change my mind every day on whether to go this year or to put it off for another year while I pay off some debt. I guess I'll hafta figure it out within the next 10 days!!!

Sooooo confused!!!

I got in with a 3.8, does anyone know about switching from nights to days, if you even can. Of course I will take what I get but would love to have days PC now.

Call Health Sciences...they will probably answer their phones NOW. LOL. Or, maybe e-mail them...they were good about answering those.

Congratulations to everybody who got in and keep the faith for the ones who got alternate. Like everybody says, some people will drop so there is a good chance you'll get in. I was in Orlando all day, of course, but I got in. Had a 4.0. Can't wait until orientation, but at least the waiting is behind, just the alternates have a wait a little longer. But you should find out sometime in May.

I'm in and hoping for Plant City Day/Afternoons. Background, drug test, and finger printing....this is really happening!! Good luck to those of you still waiting; I know it can't be easy. My GPA was 4.0.

"Campus assignments are final and for the duration of the program." Guess we won't be doing swapping :(

...just got home from vacation. Alternate. I'm not sure if this makes me happy or sad. I have a 3.68, it's frustrating because SO MANY people had me feeling like I was sitting pretty. And so the waiting continues....

I have a feeling thier cutoff for entrance was the same as last year at 3.7 and all thier alternates got in at 3.5 and higher so the alternates are still looking good, we just gotta a wait another month or so. I know how you feel I got a 3.67 lol so close!

Im in the process of completing my prerequisites and was wondering if anyone knew the cutoff gpa for the lpn to rn program.

There is a thread on here for that group...do a search, and it should pop up :)

I'm also an alternate with a 3.67 GPA. At first I was very dissapointed but reading the previous year threads gave me a lot of hope. We just have to be patient and have a lot of faith. :) For those of you that didn't get in, don't forget to apply again for the spring semester. The deadline is June 1st and you will have more chances of being accepted then. I am applying again hopefully ,my GPA will be high enough for the spring in case I don't get in on the fall.

Did the finger printing in Ybor easy location to find but a ghost town when you walk in took longer to find someone then the actual process, dropped off my reply at the DM campus and found the auditorium room for orientation so i want stress with having to find it on the day of

 Pretty confused with HCC at the moment. I got my denial letter on Saturday. I had a 3.476 pre-req GPA. My friend got an alternate seat with a 3.2 Gpa...not sure how that happened. I have all my classes complete as well...I really hope my friend does get a seat though, atleast one of us made it in. But I just can't wrap my head around it...To all the alternates and accepted, I wish you the best of luck :nurse:

Great advice!!! I was debating on drop-off vs. mailing it.
