Hello! I was wondering if anyone else is planning on applying to the HCC nursing program for the spring of 2018? I just finished this rough semester and I was hoping there would be other people on here that I can talk to about this upcoming goal! (:
I put in my application and it's all showing up as received in my documents on hawknet, does anybody know when the letters are going to start coming or what the cutoff is? Or is it too early to know any of this information
Most likely first week of October! I once applied for spring . Cut off last spring was 3.57
New to this thread. I applied aug 9th with 4.0 in my prereqs. My overall gpa was lower. I did all of my classes at hcc starting in 2008, so some of them are kinda old. I started the program once before and made it halfway through but because of the timing and life events i didn't finish. Im a little scared and super excited to start again, and finish this time. Also nervous about not getting accepted this time.

how did you like it when you attended?
It was good. I just didn't have the time and resources to finish. Had alot going on personally at the time. I am still friends with some of the instructors, and my old classmates that im in contact with all seem to be doing well as RNs. Some are teachers now, and at least one is now in a DNP program.
What kind of classes are you learning? As you know, online it only says Nursing Process, but is that like Fundamentals or Pharmacology or Patho? Or is it like everything in one? I'm confused on how HCC does it :)
We are learning fundamentals in np1. I believe it's med-surg for np2, oby/ peds & psy for np3 and med surg again for np4
That is awesome! I can't wait to begin the program (fingers crossed):)How soon after the beginning of the semester are clinicals started?
You start your "clinicals" in class/lab so you can start learning some skills before you get to the hospital. You won't get to the hospital until a month after you start

If they take it away, just take one of the electives too
