Hillsborough Community College Nursing Program Application Spring 2022

Hey everyone!

This post is for the Spring 2022 Nursing program at HCC. I applied for the Fall and was not accepted so trying again for Spring!

GPA was calculated as 3.28

Fall’s cutoff GPA was 3.52 which seems incredibly low for that semester so here’s to hoping Spring is even lower! Good luck!!

I just applied today. This is my first time applying. I have a 3.8 GPA and I scored 76 on the TEAS. Really keeping my fingers crossed that I got everything submitted on time. I'm starting to feel paranoid that I missed something. Fingers crossed I get in and I hope to see you all there too!

When they send you a response letting you know they received your application, they let you know how to view it once it’s been loaded under the documents section, may take a while

Everything is saying “not received “ that’s normal for now right?

Yes totally normal! Mine was the same way last semester. My previous college transcripts took a few weeks to show as received! I think they enter everyone’s in first and then update it as they begin to go through the applications.

Hey. Did y’all apply anywhere else besides HCC? In the info session, I found out they only accept 144 students

Hey :) I applied for the 2022 Spring term, fingers crossed. My overall GPA is 3.33 and my TEAS score is 73.3. I have an AA, but I cant remember if already having a degree counts or not for HCC. Good luck everyone. 

Unfortunately, I missed the information meetings, is there any thing in particular they said that I should be aware of?- thanks in advance :)

Hey! Good luck!

The only thing HCC looks at is prerequisite GPA. If there is a tie between you and another student, they will then use your overall GPA as a tie-breaker. Unfortunately previous degrees don’t count :( and the TEAS is only to see if you got above a 60. As far as the info session, there wasn’t much you missed! Everything that was went over was pretty much on the webpage. 
 

Also for everyone, my documents are showing as received except my nursing prerequisites which say ‘UNDER REVIEW’. So I’d keep an eye out since today is the final day!
