Hillsborough Community College Nursing Program Application Spring 2022

Hey everyone!

This post is for the Spring 2022 Nursing program at HCC. I applied for the Fall and was not accepted so trying again for Spring!

GPA was calculated as 3.28

Fall’s cutoff GPA was 3.52 which seems incredibly low for that semester so here’s to hoping Spring is even lower! Good luck!!

Definitely do NOT retake it. (Unless you plan to apply to other schools that take that score into consideration) HCC only goes off of prerequisite GPA.

Hey y’all. So are they going off pre req’s GPA or overall GPA?

Is anyone applying to other Health Sciences Programs as well? After not getting accepted into Fall semester, I decided to expand my options so I’ve also applied to the Surgical Technology AS program and Invasive Cardiovascular Technology AS. But Nursing is my number 1.

Prerequisite GPA! The overall GPA is used as a tie breaker.

I didn’t get one either until the day of LOL. 
And try not to worry! The Fall cutoff (which is usually much higher) was abnormally low. And Spring is usually on the lower side, so I’m hopeful the cutoff will be pretty close if not below what you have! And there’s always the alternate option as well, but I’m sure you’ll make it!

They are the only people that have the evening\weekend option that’s not charging an arm and leg. Fingers crossed. I hope you get in too. Guess I’ll just wait on the email LOL. I looked into Keiser but they are crazy expensive

From what I’ve seen from past forums that’s about the norm. Fall is usually harder with the cutoff normally 3.7 or higher but this past Fall it was super low at 3.5 as well so I’m very hopeful that this Spring will be really low. Fingers crossed!
