Hillsborough Community College Nursing Fall 2016

Published

Hey everyone!

I hadn't seen a thread started yet for the fall '16 entry to the program and thought I would start one, since the application deadline is only 2 months away. I'm excited and nervous about the process....just hoping my GPA is good enough to get in. I've taken the TEAS V and just finishing up my last pre-req to apply. I'm currently in North Dakota and will be retiring from the Air Force next year. So, that alone is frustrating since I have to call or e-mail with any questions.

Who else is applying?

Chris

Yay!! So happy for you all! I got accepted and to the location of choice!!! I have Plant City days :)

I'm Plant City days as well :)

I got into Plant City! Would like to switch to Ruskin, if anyone is interested!? Ah Im so relieved! Is anyone else having trouble opening up the attached documents? My mac/phone won't open it.

I got in. I have Nights/ Weekends Plant City..

Hi Congratulations to all you for your hard work! I got in Dale Mabry afternoons is there any way anyone wants to switch for mornings that got in for afternoons? If so, how would I go about doing that?

Thanks so much!

Is there a link available?

I got into my first choice ! Plant city nights/ weekends :inlove:

First and foremost, I would like to congratulate all of you who made it into the program! I am currently in the third semester, so I know what it is like. Also, I am the president of the SouthShore Student Nursing Association. If you guys have any questions, I'm here for you. Also, for those of you who want to switch with other students, they will let you do that at orientation. In order to switch, it has to be a 1 for 1 swap since the classes start full. Also, don't delay on getting your shots or paperwork done. That is the number 1 reason why people have problems in the process.

Is it advisable to do the Physical Exam and CPR prior to Orientation?

I would definitely do the physical early, especially since the vaccines are a part of it. It took my doctors office 3 weeks to get my titer results back to show I'm immune to MMR and hepatitis b. The CPR is up to you since it is only good for 2 years and you will have to renew it before your last semester.

Does the nursing program start at the same time as all of HCC's other classes?
