Polk State College Fall 2016
Greetings! I am also applying for fall entry. I'm not sure if I calculated by points correctly but think I have about 115. I have an 82 on TEAS, 2.84 overall GPA, a 3.45 on prereqs and an associates.....so hopefully I'm close with the estimate. I'm moving from ND after retiring from the Air Force. I have already been accepted to HCC but want to go to PCS so I'm trying to stay hopeful.

Polk State College nursing Fall 2016
Greeting everyone! I am applying for fall entry as well. I've actually gotten accepted for fall entry to HCC's nursing program at the Plant City campus, but really want to go to PSC because of the RN to BSN program. I'm currently in North Dakota finishing out my military time (I'm officially retired from the Air Force in September). It stinks because I will fly back to Florida to drop off the application and then a week and a half later I will start the trek back to Florida. I got an 82 on the TEAS, I have a 3.45 for the pre-reqs, an overall 2.84 GPA because I have so many credits (well over 170), and an associates degree. I wish all of us the best of luck and hopefully we all get in.:)

Hillsborough Community College Nursing Fall 2016
Well I dropped my application in the mail today since I had to send it from my current location. I added the self addressed postcard and did a track on the package. I need to know since I can't drop it off in person. Can't wait for my final grade to post. I wish I could take some other classes to be ready to possibly to the HCC/BSN program but I'll be moving come June and I didn't register in time for a class in for the Spring since I'll be busy with my transition out of the Air Force. I already have an AA from the Community College of the Air Force in Criminal Justice so I'll push for that to meet the criteria. Only time will tell. I wish all good luck in the application process.

The TEAS study guide is a good route to go. I went thru it twice and did the practice tests in the book and I ended up with an 82. I'm just hoping my GPA is good enough at this point. That is what I'm stressed about as the semester ends and I sent in my application. Good luck on the test.

I came back to Florida to take the test and check on my house. I did well on the test and if that was a factor it would help (got an 82). I guess it all depends on how many people apply and what their GPAs are.

Glad to hear you passed the TEAS V. When I took it there was 3 of us and I know the one girl didn't pass. I'm just hoping my GPA will be good enough. I should end up with a 3.52. The took a class from a long time ago that I was going to CLEP that I got a C in so that had brought down my GPA, so hoping it will be good enough. I wish you luck in getting in.

Thanks for the insight. I lived in Tampa for 10yrs and own a home, the military moved me right at the end so I am coming back to Tampa anyway. I am also looking at some other options. Thanks again.

Hillsborough Community College Nursing Fall 2016
Hey everyone! I hadn't seen a thread started yet for the fall '16 entry to the program and thought I would start one, since the application deadline is only 2 months away. I'm excited and nervous about the process....just hoping my GPA is good enough to get in. I've taken the TEAS V and just finishing up my last pre-req to apply. I'm currently in North Dakota and will be retiring from the Air Force next year. So, that alone is frustrating since I have to call or e-mail with any questions. Who else is applying? Chris
