Thanks. Where did you get your CPR class? Can you recommend one that is not too expensive?

Is it advisable to do the Physical Exam and CPR prior to Orientation?

I pray that everybody will get an ACCEPTANCE letter soon. Taking five courses this semester really keeps me busy which means that I don't think about the letter as much as I should. However, I'm still a little bit anxious about it. God is good guys just keep praying everyday.

I took most of my pre-req from HCC. I am only familiar with teachers i selected that teaches those pre-req. For your Microbiology, I would recommend Dr. Smith. She is hands down the best and easy teacher. She is straightforward when giving test questions. She is very clear whenever she gives lectures. I just hope there is an available seat left for you since most, if not all, classes that she handles gets full (closed) quickly due to the fact that many students prefer her teaching. I hope i can get accepted in the Nursing Program for i only scored "Proficient" (It's my fault though coz i didn't really study that much- I did not want to retake it because i was told that acceptance will not be based on TEAS scores but GPAs) on my TEAS, but with my 3.8 GPA, i believe there is a greater chance. I also asked the Nursing Admin. what my chances are with a proficient score on TEAS and 3.8 GPA, and she said that as long as i passed the TEAS they will not rank applicants based on TEAS score but with their GPAs, and she assured me that with a 3.8 GPA, it is more than enough for me to get accepted. But we will see.. I say, "Thy will be done Oh Lord". Good luck too all.

Have you guys thought about taking other courses while waiting for your acceptance letter? I thought about going to PHCC and start taking classes towards my BSN (Pre-requisites) while waiting for my acceptance letter. I was told by the Health Science Admin. that the approval notice will normally be sent out between 12-15 weeks, and the program usually starts around August. I also asked the lady if it's okay to take other classes either those that are required prior to graduation or towards BSN while waiting for the approval letter, and she doesn't see any problems with it. What do you think ladies? Regarding TEAS score and GPA, I asked the Admin if the TEAS score is going to affect our admission to the program, and she said that as long as you get 60% and up right then they will rank applicants based on their GPA's. In other words, what matters more is if you have an excellent GPA not your TEAS score, of course, you have to pass it to get admitted.

I end up calling the Health Science Admin. to clarify things, and they were able to assist me. Now, I am all set to send my application. Have you thought about taking courses while waiting? I am really interested in pursuing BSN at PHCC after getting my RN at HCC. So, i thought i can make use my time taking courses towards BSN at PHCC. What do you think?

Hi everyone. So glad finals is finally over. Now, i am a bit excited about applying in the program. I will be dropping off my application this week. Hope we will continue this thread.

Hi. I am glad to see someone here who is also an applicant for Fall 2016. I plan on dropping off my application forms this week. I just have a couple questions. Other than the application forms, Was there any other documents that needs to go along with the application forms? What are they? I had taken TEAS.Do i have to print out a copy of it to send it along with the application forms or Is it already in school system just like our transcript and since i took it at HCC Dale Mabry Campus? Thank you
