Hello everyone,
So my dream since I can remember has been to become a nurse; however, it seems as if it will never happen. I recently finished my pre-requisite courses to apply to the fall semester of the HCC nursing program. While I did not get any C's I made mostly B's :blink:earning A's in two classes and one lab. I realize this is not good enough since it puts my GPA at around a 3.38. Since I did not fail any of my classes, I don't believe I will be able to retake them. Is there any possible way to retake them? Or any way to increase my GPA since they mainly look at the pre-requisite courses? If not, what other options do I have for becoming a nurse? If anyone is out there who could offer any help it would be greatly appreciated. I will submit my application regardless but I don't have any high hopes of getting accepted, if there is anyway to increase my chances I would be so grateful to find out!
I'm excited. I missed a lot of emails in here. I forgot my password but I've been busy as well. Excited but a little overwhelmed. I've been finishing up summer classes and trying to do my Beacon training and start Clinical calculations. So I really don't have time to come in here anymore. Hope all is well with you?
Sorry to hear ur teachers brother passing. Let me know how u like ur teacher. Im going to be in spring class and hoping for dale mabry 1pm to 4pm. We should get our acceptance letters anywhere between next week and the 15th of September. One of the girls checkd with an advisor and was informed they are sending letter out soon because they are ahead of schedule. We will see how true this is in up coming week. I am a 3.72 so im confident il get in. I have all the things ill need already since my birthday just passed. They were gift (stethoscope, shoes, pen light, bandage scissors etc) its a double tube stethoscope does it matter to HCC?
I heard they prefer a single one. I actually have both..but I find that the single tube is lighter. You can ask that when you have orientation. I love my teachers structure already! I heard she is a tough cookie but I'm not looking for an easy ride. That's great! See I told you it would come before you know it!
Hello everyone! Getting excited about the semester starting. Anybody that is going to plant city campus nights and weekends- do you know where the nursing laboratory is? Also, has anyone gotten any more information on the orientation information for Tampa General? Look forward to meeting all of you!
