Anybody applying ...? =)
Calley,Have you uploaded any of your documents or are you waiting for a campus assignment? The reason why I am asking is that I am still hoping for a different campus and I have not uploaded any documents because I was told if you are not happy with your campus to NOT upload anything yet. I was thinking that we should all hear back before Friday since we all need to have the documents in for deadline. I figured we would not hear anything until after the second orientation which was last Thursday, so I am hopeful it will be soon. Either way we are all in the program!! Yipee!
I'm not exactly sure if the documents have to just be submitted by the 3rd or if they have to be approved and marked as 'complete' by the 3rd. It takes a few days for them to review your documents and mark them as complete. Just throwing that out there for those that haven't submitted anything.
I can't upload anything or make an account with certified background until I have a campus, so nothing uploaded, nothing approved. Just holding onto all my paperwork until I have a campus. At orientation when everyone got the certified background handout the homeless students didn't because she said there's nothing we can do until we have a campus
Hi KikB!
I recognized your name and profile pic from the spring '12 postings. Maybe because I was stalking all the posts? lol
It's so nice of you to share some NP1 experience with us newbies! I do have some questions for ya
Which professor/campus/hospital were you assigned to?
How were the exams like? Were your questions straight from the textbooks?
What would you say was the most challenging or a difficult obstacle in NP1?
Gosh, I sound like an interviewer with these questions lol
Hi Talie04!!! I was in Mrs C. Class/Dale Mabry Campus Afternoon classes/and at T&C Hospital... The test were very different!!!! Unlike any test that I have ever taken before because there is no cut and dry answer!!! Let me tell u like this there is one answer that is 100% right (of course) and one answer that is about 80% right... So the most challenging thing was finding the answer that is 100% right when the other answer "could be" right.... I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND that u guys get the Fundamental of success books ... A lot of the questions in that book is VERY SIMILAR to the style of questions that would be on the test ....(by no means are they the exact same questions but they are types of questions that will help you with enhancing your critical thinking skill because it gives you rationales to the answer of the questions.... )So to answer your question is the questions out of the text book... No way!!!! But it is not as difficult as people think... You have to learn to think critically... how I learned is by practicing questions EVERYDAY from my fundamental of success book... The most challenging thing that I have come across is working full-time, having a full-time family, and going to school full-time...it is and was very hard trying to balance all of it at once but it is doable and I can't and won't give up because this is my dream and this is what I was blessed to be able to do... And the Lord did not bring me this far to give up on me and I have not come this far to give up on him or my dream... The hardest thing for me as well was finding time to study and knowing how to study... The advice that I will give you is practice questions and to read with understanding/comprehension....There is going to be so much to read in this class that your head might spin but u have to be able to read between the lines...and if there is something you are not comprehending make sure u ask the professor to go over it because there are so many chapters that u guys will have to go through and you want to make sure you are understanding what may be asked on the test...
I don't know the answer to that question. Is there anyway you can contact central records in the area where you went to school? On the second page of my high school transcripts(feels like years ago :)) it has my immunization history. I was surprised they had it on there. All you need is a copy of your unofficial transcripts. Like I said, I don't know if that is an option for you? Hope this help a little.
Hello everyone, can anyone tell me if you got a titers test for polio? If you did how to you order it? My doctor said couldn't order because it there isn't one.
I had a Polio titer done at Lakeside Occupational Medical Centers, and I think it cost me around $60 if I still remember. They have many offices around the Tampa Bay,and their prices are pretty good. Here is a link to their different locations:
