Anybody applying ...? =)
Hi KikB
I was wondering if there is a lot of writing in the class? Papers/essay questions on test?
Hi Talie04!!! I was in Mrs C. Class/Dale Mabry Campus Afternoon classes/and at T&C Hospital... The test were very different!!!! Unlike any test that I have ever taken before because there is no cut and dry answer!!! Let me tell u like this there is one answer that is 100% right (of course) and one answer that is about 80% right... So the most challenging thing was finding the answer that is 100% right when the other answer "could be" right.... I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND that u guys get the Fundamental of success books ... A lot of the questions in that book is VERY SIMILAR to the style of questions that would be on the test ....(by no means are they the exact same questions but they are types of questions that will help you with enhancing your critical thinking skill because it gives you rationales to the answer of the questions.... )So to answer your question is the questions out of the text book... No way!!!! But it is not as difficult as people think... You have to learn to think critically... how I learned is by practicing questions EVERYDAY from my fundamental of success book... The most challenging thing that I have come across is working full-time, having a full-time family, and going to school full-time...it is and was very hard trying to balance all of it at once but it is doable and I can't and won't give up because this is my dream and this is what I was blessed to be able to do... And the Lord did not bring me this far to give up on me and I have not come this far to give up on him or my dream... The hardest thing for me as well was finding time to study and knowing how to study... The advice that I will give you is practice questions and to read with understanding/comprehension....There is going to be so much to read in this class that your head might spin but u have to be able to read between the lines...and if there is something you are not comprehending make sure u ask the professor to go over it because there are so many chapters that u guys will have to go through and you want to make sure you are understanding what may be asked on the test...
Apparently certifiedbackground isn't going by the paper sheet we received for vaccines. I received 2 measles, 2 rubella, and 1 mumps as a kid. They are saying I need 2 of each, even though the paper says only 1 is needed.Crap! Now to figure out where to get That shot!!
My physician has two dates for each on my form...

Were u able to register as a Dale Mabry student in certified background?
Hi Jfuentes10!!!!There is only one paper that was due for the class and that was the community service paper. The community service paper was really easy ...the only thing you do is write about your experience you had doing whatever community service project you chose. There is Al's a well elderly packet that you will be required to do..the teacher will go into detail with you on how she or he wants it done...but it is basically you interviewing an elderly person on a couple of different occasions and the questions are given to you so it's not like it is something you have to make up yourself... However, there is a group presentation that you will have to do.... Not a lot of writing is involved with that...there may be (depending on your teacher) "homework" assigned where the teacher may give you an article to read and give you a couple of questions that you would need to answer in paragraph form... But it is nothing to stress over... It won't be difficult...the hardest thing for most students is the care plans!!! Those are not fun.... They are very time consuming and certain teachers want them a certain way... So when they go over how to write a care plan make sure to take good notes.... Your teacher may give you a sample care plan if she does not let me know and I will be more than happy to give you guys a sample of one...another thing is your journal for clinicals... Once your get at the hospital you will be required to write in your journal every week just telling your experience, what you may be struggling with or any frustration you may have or let me just say you can write about ANYTHING pertaining to clinicals... It does not have to be wordy but I suggest you let them know if you are struggling in different areas in your journal because they will help you... That's all that I can think of that may require writing (i.e.paper/essay )
I registered under SS, Mrs. O said to do that, and she'd switch it if/when I get moved over to DM. Calley, I'm not sure if it'll get rejected or not. Mine is just on my birth certificate under each shot, and not written on the paper they gave us. Maybe if I had a doc do that they'd take it? NO clue.
